Hi guys!  Here’s a little background on why I’m starting this page…

When I first moved out on my own at the ripe old age of 25, I didn’t really know how to cook anything.  I was especially scared of cooking with meats.  For most of my life I had been a vegetarian, but once I got to college, I was tempted one too many times with an In-N-Out burger and I’ve been a omnivore ever since.  However, I had virtually no idea on how to tell when meats were done so I pretty much avoided cooking them.

Around the time I started dating my now-husband, I decided I was finally going to learn how to cook.  But practically speaking, how do you do that?  Do you take classes?  Shadow friends who are more experienced?  Watching hours of the cooking channel?  I figured the best way for me to learn was to simply start cooking!  My new year resolution was to make 52 new recipes by the end of the year.

Fast forward several years, and I now feel much more comfortable around the kitchen, my husband has gotten used to me trying out all different kinds of recipes on him, and I have just about every kitchen gadget known to man!  (Not really, but I’m working on it.)

And now I’m inviting friends (yes, you!) to join me in cooking another set of 52 new recipes!
